Who We are
Children’s Rights and Violence Prevention Fund (CRVPF) is a regional child right and social justice grant-making organization supporting community action to prevent violence against children and adolescents.
Vision
Children and adolescents are safe and empowered where they live, learn, play and work.
Mission
Advance the safety and rights of children and adolescents.
Goal
Safe and empowering environments for children and adolescent girls.
Our Principles
Our work is anchored in children’s rights, supported by a strong belief in the voice, agency and resilience of children and adolescents.
We believe that violence is preventable. We dare to imagine a world without violence and work boldly toward creating it.
We start by listening, this grounds us and our partners in a more nuanced understanding of the strengths, challenges, and barriers that children and adolescents face in their daily lives.
We believe in the importance of place, culture, and self-determination. We invest in community ownership and leadership because we believe that lasting change can only come about when those who are affected by the problem are driving action for change.
We continually learn from our work and use evidence to inform program, policy and practice.
We strive to develop authentic relationships with and among our partners, paying attention to power dynamics. We are in it for the long-haul.
We facilitate spaces to nurture connections among leaders in order to leverage the power of collective action to catalyse deep and lasting change.
